Good times

Last night was the AICP party at the MoMA. Was such a treat to see so many clients and friends in one place looking so dapper. I cannot believe it's June already. AICP marks the beginning of summer, so here's wishing you many BBQs and days by the water. Thanks to everyone for the incredible work we've been a part of in the past year.

Happy New Year from Bug

This year we are grateful for all of you: our clients and vendors and friends. Bug had a very busy end to 2015. A band of roving editors and assistants, Bug was everywhere in the past six weeks. Andre could be found editing in Beverly Hills, Ojai, New York, Venice, Boston and at home in Westchester. Adam was in Australia and then back editing in Boston and New York. We couldn't have managed without Clay whipping in on his skateboard, setting up Avids anywhere & everywhere and then overnight tearing down and shipping the whole system to the next destination. He's our hero roadie. Between those three ninjas, Bug got something like 34 spots from shoot to ship in the last two months of 2015 all while enjoying lots of yummy dinners, dips in the hot tub and celebratory cocktails with clients.

We're very excited to share our hard work with you as it begins to air in January. It's pretty great stuff. We're so lucky to have clients who think of Bug when interesting creative is being produced. Here's to a happy, healthy 2016 and many more projects with each of you!

Pumpkin Harvest Crisp

Excited to be able to share the Chobani spot Andre cut last weekend at a suite in NYC. Laurence Dunmore shot it on Thursday in LA and it was shipped the next Tuesday. We're so lucky to have great partners in Duotone, The Mill, Heard City and Blacksmith to make these beautiful spots happen so quickly and even luckier to have clients (both agency and brand) who trust the artists. You can see the spot here or on World Series coverage.

Or you can read about the campaign at Adweek

Also, they're freaking delicious. Go get one.

Bug is back from summer vacation

Temperatures remained in the 90s past Labor Day in New York this year allowing us to delude ourselves in to believing our extended summer vacation was justified. But then the Oktoberfest signage replaced Seafood Fest at the local pub, leggings started appearing where I swear booty shorts had just been and, the surefire sign of summer's death, you guys started sending me Pumpkin Spice boards. So Bug is back!

We shipped 3 jobs this week - one of them a baby we’ve been attending to for over a year, another a 15 spot package edited by Adam Weiss and finished here at Bug and the final a classic Andre Betz phenomenon (shot on Thursday by RSA in LA, edited over the weekend, approved by Monday in a swanky suite in NYC and shipped on Tuesday). Can’t wait to share them with you.

Next up, we’ll be partnering with MPC on some automotive Christmas fun (wait, winter already!?) and then off to a beach edit in Malibu. It’s a tough life, but we try not to complain. Hope to see you soon!

Pumpkin Spice Kisses,

Caitlin

P.S. If you have the time, it's worth checking out Andre's fun with drones footage from this summer up in Maine. You can find it here.

Olympic Presentation Film

So we got a call from an old friend who asked us to help out on a film they were doing. Boston is a hopeful for the 2024 Olympic Summer Games and the planning committee wanted a film to show at a meeting. The catch was that we only had a day or two to work on it from start to rough cut approval. Needless to say, Bug was up to the challenge. Footage arrived on a Tuesday, was loaded that day and cutting began Wednesday morning. Rough cut was approved on Friday.
